Terms and Conditions

Payments
The course fee consists of 13 payments of £90 over 13 months. This covers 17 days of tuition in total. Payments must be by standing order on the 1st of each month starting on the 1st of June, 2022. Upon accepting your place on the course, you are required to commit to paying the full cost of the course.

Refunds
No partial refunds can be given if any course time is missed. If for some reason you can no longer participate in the course, fees for the remaining duration of the course may be refunded if someone is found to fill your place.

Attendance
The course is designed in an holistic manner, providing the individual with a seasonal picture of the life of a Devon hedge. In order to get the most out of the course, we strongly encourage full attendance.

Course Dates

Before applying please ensure that you will be able to attend all the dates listed. Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of the weather, there may be cause to revise the date of a session closer to the time. If this situation arises we will do our best to find a date that works for everyone.

Risk Assessment
Upon accepting a place on the course, the individual must be aware that many of the activities on this course are inherently risky. A risk assessment will be provided for each element of the course on the day/weekend it takes place. It is your responsibility to take careful consideration of the risks brought to your attention by instructors. If you do not heed the guidance of the instructor with regards to safety you may be removed from the course without a refund.

Tools and Equipment
Some tools will be available for participants to use on courses, there will also be an opportunity to buy tools from a local tool restorer on the tool sharpening day of the course. You are encouraged to bring along any tools that you already have on this day to sharpen and do basic repairs on. Please do not buy tools before having consulted us as they may not be of use. It is essential that each participant has their own basic safety equipment, including steel toe capped work boots and leather/thorn resistant gloves. Successful applicants will receive more information and advice regarding tools and equipment.
